That's what he said.

I drove Simon 2 hours to this paediatric ENT surgeon on Wednesday, for what turned out to be a 15 minute appointment to tell us what we already knew. Sorry, i'm tired and a touch grumpy after what has been a long week. Anyway, Simon has to have more surgery, it isn't urgent but should be within the next 6 months, and Dr McKay can do the operation here in Wollongong. Thanks, that's $160.
Last weekend we finished building the new garden bed. The children were very helpful with the digging and transporting the 2 tonnes of dirt we had delivered. We had locked Josie in the laundry whilst the gates were open, and when we let her out she almost leaped 10 feet in the air when she saw all that pristing earth, just waiting to be dug up. We haven't planted anything yet, and over the course of the week Josie has seemed to have lost interest in the new bed, so we'll try and put some plants in this weekend.
My 5th follow through birthed last Friday night. It was the home birth and was very fast. It was actually lucky that the midwife even made it- she arrived at 6.05pm, baby at 6.25. I missed the birth of the baby by 2 minutes, literally, but i was quite relieved about that as the house was totally chaotic and i really wasn't looking forward to spending a lot of time there. But i got to do all the post natal checks and i can count it as a birth, because i was there for the delivery of the placenta, so that's great.
We have soooooooo many assignments this semester, it's a bit overwhelming. None of them are particularly hard, but it will be the organisation that will be tricky. Why did I ever think uni was hard before I had kids? What a complete doddle to be able to study without interruption, to only have to think of yourself and not have to get up when you're in the middle of writing an essay to wipe a child's bottom. Ah, those were the days!
