Holiday bits and bobs.

Next to Thirlmere Lake.

Ooooh... what a load of criminals.
The kids had a great time at Thirlmere, and came back tired and happy. Ruby immediately lapsed into 2 days of abominable behaviour, just to make sure I was paying attention I think, but i guess that's the price you pay for 2 days to yourself! I got lots and lots of study done and then took the online exam on Monday morning before going to uni, and got 26 out of 30, so I was really pleased about that.

So of course I was at uni all last week while the kids were at home with Brett. They had some friends over, went to the beach, went to Nanna and Grandad's house and generally had a good time. On Friday I was off Uni, so I took them to the movies to see How To Train Your Dragon (very good!!) and then we had lunch in the park. Yesterday was such beautiful weather so i took them down to the beach for a while and they swum and climbed on the rocks. Today was AFL day, the first game of the season, and Simon won the Coach's Award! He was so proud and surprised, but he really deserved it, he played his little heart out and did his best to get right into the action, getting tackled and "putting his body on the line" as they call it...

School starts again on Tuesday, and then the next week I have a week's holiday, which I am looking foward to. I love going to Uni, but it will be nice to have a break from the travelling for a bit.
