Poor old Dexie came a real cropper yesterday at footy. The boys have joined the Wollongong Lions AFL team, and they absolutely love it. It is run really well and is very safe and non contact. Except that Declan ran through the gate to get a drink of water, and the bloody thing stuck suddenly and then swung back at him and clonked him in the forehead. I was sure there would be blood, but amazingly it didn't break the skin. The size of the egg that swelled up immediately was immense! We whisked him off to the hospital to check him out, but after being seen by the nurse and then waiting 2 hours without seeing a doctor i brought him home, by then he was totally fine and getting very bored and hungry, and the nurse said she thought it safe for us to leave. Never a dull moment!
