"Mummy, what sort of a language is Spanish?"
"Errr... a spanish language."
"Yeah but what country is it from?"
"Spain."
Just a sample of my daily conversations with Simon. I have no idea why he wanted to know about Spanish, and I'm too scared to ask.
Summer is half way through and today the weather is hot and muggy. The boys had 2 weeks of swimming lessons every day at the local pool at 8.30am. It was a nice time to be in the water, before the sun got strong. Other than that, it has been a quite holiday. We have been doing lots and lots on the house. The upstairs has been repainted and we knocked out the built in wardrobe in our bedroom. Brett has become an Ebay junkie and is selling everything off. We have also been looking at carpets and we plan to get the upstairs carpeted in the next few weeks. I feel bad that we haven't spent a lot of time with the kids though. But we just have to get all this house stuff done while Brett's at home. Still, they have had a sleepover with Jack and Nathan a couple of times, and Simon has taught himself to ride a two wheeler. After months of crying and hysteria about never being able to do it blah blah blah, I turned up at Jack's place to pick him up and there's Simon riding up and down the driveway on Jack's bike, being evry casual about it.
Miss Josie is now 12 weeks old! She is getting really big and is very naughty. Brett takes her to puppy preschool every wednesday night. Today she had to have her vaccinations and was most put out when the vet stuck a thermometer up her bum.
