Esther Rose

We had some lovely news yesterday! Our good friends Rena and Ben had a baby girl, named Esther Rose. Isn't that sweet? She had been due on Ruby's birthday but managed to hold on until after Christmas and little Esther made her appearance yesterday afternoon at 1.17pm. I spoke to Rena last night and she sounded really well and happy, so that's excellent. We'll go up and see them in a couple of days.

Today is New Year's Eve! Goodbye 2006, you haven't been a bad year, as things go. Christmas was quite nice this year, we went up to my parents house and all the family was there. We stayed the night there, and got about 3 hours sleep as Ruby was a total nightmare. She's not at a good age to stay away from home right now, it's too disruptive, and of course she had had such a full on day. On Boxing Day my sister took the boys to see the movie 'Flushed Away'. They thought that was very cool, although I haven't heard anything about the actual movie, just that they got to 'drive' the car racing game at the amusement arcade next to the theatre.


I went for a walk with Bianca yesterday affernoon which was very nice. We walked from her place through the Botanic Gardens and then all around the Uni and then back, so it was about an hour. I've gradually been feeling a bit fitter lately and I've even started running a few mornings a week. Yes, I know.. go on, have a laugh. The idea of me running is quite amusing because I am totally unco and really cannot run to save my life. But strangely enough I actually enjoy it, even though I'm totally stuffed by the time i get home again. I'm trying to build up the distance each time I go.

Brett and I want to go to the movies this week, Brett wants to see the new James Bond film. I'm not really a fan of James Bond, but I've heard it's a good movie. At least it's a night out, ay?
