Tilba

These photos are from our 4 days away at Tilba, on the far south coast. We stayed in an old farmhouse and spent the days relaxing, roaming around the farm, swimming (only the kids- it was freezing!) and toasting marshmallows. We were also lucky enough to see a Mama whale and her calf in the bay at Bermagui where they were just hanging out, just off shore. We're hoping to go back next year, maybe in the winter holidays, but for longer and explore more of the area around there. The area is a major dairy producer and the brother of the owner of the farm we stayed on is the owner of the ABC cheese factory which makes gorgeous cheeses and bottles and sells its own milk, direct from their own factory. The milk is un homogenised, and was so creamy and delicious! It even had the cream rising to the top when you open the bottle, like I remember from being little. The kids drank it like it was going out of style.

But now it's back to real life. The kids finish up school for the term at the end of the week and then have 2 weeks holidays. I'm working and will be back in the Birthing Unit, so I'm nervous. I have enjoyed my time in the clinic and on the ward, and I hope that confidence will extend to the birthing unit. But I know now that my passion lies in the antenatal and postnatal care area, and that is where I would like to work in future. So I'm keeping my eyes peeled for jobs!
