My beautiful Dexie is 10 years old today. TEN!! Once again I am shaking my head, trying to work out where it all went.
Ten years ago today I reached down and held my baby boy as he slid from me, slick and warm and brought him up to my chest. "Hello, little man!" I said and he just looked at me, calmly, like a miniture Yoda, as if to say, "oh... here I am again! Well, might as well make it interesting." He kept those big, dark blue eyes open and fixed on anyone who looked at him. The midwife was on the receiving end of that stare and said "Wow- those eyes are really freaking me out!"
And these 10 years have been very interesting to say the least. Here's to the next 10!
