I am so tired.
And I was only at the hospital for 4 and a half hours today, having my orientation for when I start prac next week. Then it will be full on, 8 and a half hour days, 4 days a week. I am excited and scared all at once. Being there today, seeing the reality of it, all the people, all the procedures and protocols, all the stuff that they all know and I don't.... yikes!
i'm starting in the antenatal clinic, and I'm happy about that, as it will give me a chance to acclimatise a bit first. And it will involve procedures that I'm familiar with like taking a blood pressure, doing a booking in visit etc. Then the following week is Birth Unit, then Post Natal ward.
My main hopes:
1) I don't faint
2) I don't do something really, really dumb.
3) They like me!
4) I learn lots and lots
5) I am inspired.
