Better

There has been a slow improvement in Ruby's going-to-school behaviour over the past couple of days. The first three days of last week were atrocious, with Ruby absolutely going beserk when i took her to school. But she now has a 'special friend', a little girl called Simona, and that seems to have helped a lot. Yesterday she actually went without crying, which was like a miracle. She also pulled herself together for ballet today, and after a moment of nerves she ran to join the other girls and even allowed me to leave the room for the lesson, like the other mums.

I'm also feeling less stressed about uni. I went up to enrol and get measured for my (ugly, ugly) uniform that I'll wear on prac. I have my timetable now, and, after timing how long it takes to walk from the station to UTS, I've realised that on a couple of days I can leave home later than I originally thought, which means I can take the kids to school. On the days I can't, and my friend sends them, the lovely Learing Support teacher at school, who looks after Declan, has offered to come in early on her own time and meet the children at the gate. What an angel! I am so humbled.

Kung Hei Fat Choi! Happy Chinese New Year.
