Night away.

Brett and I spent the night in Sydney last Friday, to see the Motwon 50th anniversary show. It was lots of fun. His mum and dad stayed at our place to mind the kids, and I met Brett in the city at about 5.30pm, after I caught the train up (he had driven up after work). We had a meal in China Town and then went to the show. The next morning we had breakfast with my brother and then drove home.



Ruby is so much better with the whole school thing now. She still makes a bit of a show about going in, but there are no more tears. Just as well, because I start Uni next week. But with my timetable, for the rest of this term (5 more weeks) I will be able to take them to school Mon, Tues, Thurs and Friday. Natalee will have them on Wednesdays. I go up to Uni this friday for orientation, and I'll be there all day. Mum is coming to stay for the night, so she can pick the kids up from school.



It's almost dexie's birthday! Today I got him a Wii game (Lego batman) and we are also going to try and get him a new bike. He really needs to get off his training wheels, but there hasn't been much opportunity for bike riding recently. We don't have anywhere really close by where they can ride safely. and the weather has been alternately scorching hot or torrentially raining. I can't believe he is going to be 8 years old! Declan requested a party at Putt Putt golf this year, so we have invited 7 other children and I hope it will be an easy and fun party.
