Happy Christmas!

No sooner did we get over Ruby's birthday then Christmas arrived. Thankfully by then Ruby was all better and able to enjoy all the festivities. On Christmas morning I heard a small pair of feet patter into our room to look at the clock. We had told the kids no presents until 7am, and this was at 5.48am, lol. So between then and 7am I could hear the boys talking quietly in their room. Every 15 minutes or so one would come in silently, look at the clock and then tiptoe back. At last 7am came and we all went out the lounge room. Santa had been! A gigantic box was under the tree- I guess Santa realised he didn't have a hope in hell of setting up a 12ft trampoline in the dark on Christmas Eve, so he sensibly left it for us to do. The children were thrilled with it. They also got a few other little presents like books and textas from us. After breakfast it was time to head up to Sydney to my parents for Christmas lunch. It was the whole family, Josh and Sarah, Zoe, Gramp and Grandma, Tim and Jenny and their 4 kids, my parents and us. After a nice day we came back home, and I went to bed at 8pm. The next day, Boxing Day, we went over to Brett's sister's place for lunch, which was leftovers from their Christmas Day. The kids got more presents there, and I found out the I rock at Guitar Hero. Awesome! ;) Finally, today we went back up to Sydney to Sarah's parents place for lunch. They live close to where my grandparents live. Josh and Sarah announced their engagement not long ago, so this was a lunch to get to know everyone in the families. It was a really good day, the kids were on their best behaviour and everyone commented on how good they were. We didn't get home until 6pm, and the kids are downstairs now playing on the Wii that we borrowed from Kim's place for a week. I have a feeling that my biggest kid (Brett) is the most excited by it...

Glad you had a nice Christmas. And glad to see I'm not the only one who doesn't have time to update my blog regularly. Thanks for following numbmum.
