shiny shoes

I have a pair of shiny new running shoes! Doodah doodah. Ok, so I don't actually run in them. But! I am going to start walking, now that the evenings are lighter. I'm only giving Ruby one feed a day now, so my only method of weight loss (ie, pumping the fat straight from me to her) is no longer as successful. And I'm starting to feel a bit unfit now, so I really need to do this. I'm going to aim for a couple of evenings a week to start with to see how organised I am.

I'm signing the boys up for intensive swimming lessons at the beginning of December. The Royal Life saving Society run them every summer, so you go every afternoon for 10 days. Simon did the programme the summer that Ruby was born and it was a total disaster. Brett took him and had to be in the water with him as it was a pre school class, and Simon just mucked up a treat! But this year he will be in a class where parents don't have to go in (yay) and I will put Declan in the same class as motivation, as Dexie is fairly good about water. Anyway, I have to do something about it as it is vital that he learns to swim. Especially as we live 5 minutes from the beach. So, I'm actually dreading it as it will be two weeks of hell. Not that I'm pessimistic! lmao. He's just such a nervy kid, that Simon, he analyses things and I'm sure he makes up the worst case scenario in his head. Just like his mother really. God help him when he's a parent.

no, it's separate from school, thru the Lifesaving society. I have to take them from 4-4.30pm each arvo.
