I started back at uni this week. Wow, those 7 or so weeks went quickly! It was a nice rest though- the nicest part was being able to take the kids to school and then pick them up. Although the whinging about homework is something I could do without. This semester is not as bad. Looking back, I'm amazed that we got through it. Everyone was exhausted by the end of it. For this semester the kids are at after care 3 days a week, and there is only 1 day a week that i can't take them to school. So much better!
The subject I'm most terrified of this time is Complex Newborn Care, which freaks me out! I have to do a few days prac in the special care nursery, looking after the premmie and sick babies. At Wollongong Hospital we don't have the really tiny or really sick bubbas, but it's scary all the same. Anyway, I'm sure it will be fine, just another thing to get used to.
The children are on and on at me about making them costumes for Book Week parade, which is in a few weeks time. Ruby wants to be Laura Ingalls, the boys want to be characters from the Deltora Quest, which involves making them cloaks. I love that Simon is still so excited at the thought of dressing up. He thinks he is soooooooo grown up now, but he is still just my little boy.
