A funeral

Gramp's funeral was yesterday. It was a simple service, just for family. Gramp was cremated and his ashes will be placed with Grandma's.

After that we went back to mum and dad's for lunch with all the family. Zoe was there from Melbourne, Josh and Sarah and their boys, my uncle Tim and Aunt Jenny and my four cousins, James, Sam, Naomi and Matt (who had broken his arm and was on gate leave from hospital, he had to go back to have his arm operated on, so he was doped up on endone and was nil by mouth lol). It struck me how all of us there are Gramp and Grandma's legacy. That those two people, who met and fell in love because of the second world war, leave behind all of us.

Third term has only just started and I'm already waiting for it to end. It is going to be a crazy few weeks. We seem to have activities on nearly every day. Both Declan and Ruby are participating in Southern Stars , which is a massive commitment and involves coordinated effort from everyone (ie; me) to remember when rehearsals are, what costumes ad props they need, when they need to be dropped off and picked up etc. It's a great opportunity for them, and I'm happy that they want to do it, but I'm slightly over it now. This morning Declan had to be dropped at the Wollongong Entertainment Centre to meet the teachers and other kids in the dance group for an all day rehearsal. The two notes we had received about it both said drop off at 7.50am, pick up at 4pm. So we got there are 7.45. No one there. Waited around, rang the school, tried to ring other parents. Eventually found our way in to the centre through the loading dock, our school group was already inside. Turns out a new note had gone out (probably yesterday when we were away) with the times changed to drop off 7.30am, pick up 1.30pm. Just slightly different!!
