The boy's school had their end of year presentation assembly yesterday, where the awards are presented. One thing I really like about the school is that every week they have an assembly where merit certificates are presented for various achievements, so that by the end of the school year everyone has received something. But they also have this major awards ceremony, and Declan won the award for excellence in Maths and Reading for his class. We are so proud of him!
Everyone is busy, busy with Christmas activities and craft. Last week Simon and I went into town to watch the kindy to year 2 kids sing Christmas Carols on the town stage. Declan was right up the front and was extremely serious about the whole thing. It was very cute. And Simon has now finally gone back to school, after getting the all clear from the doctor. The pathology came back benign, thank goodness, so now I guess we just keep an eye on things.
