Well, Josie is obviously part cat, because she must have nine lives (and has now used one up). She came home from the vet's yesterday after being in there for 3 days. After that first, horrible day when we really thought she was going to die, she improved dramatically. I rang the vet on Thursday morning, the day after her operation, and the nurse said that Josie was wagging her tail and drinking by herself and had even had a little walk around the garden! We could not believe it, and Brett and I went in to visit her that afternoon. She was very pleased to see us and we were able to take her out for a short stroll, with me holding her 2 bags of IV fluid, lol. Josie walked slowly around for a few minutes and then actually led us back inside the vet's and climbed back into her cage. So our hopes were beginning to rise a little. The next day, Friday, I rang again in the morning and the news was even better. She had eaten and was much brighter and happy. I took the kids out for the day, and when we got home that night, there was Josie! Brett had been able to pick her up that afternoon. The Vet had told him that she is not out of the woods yet, he will not be 100% confident until the weekend is over. But she is home, and back to her old self. She has to wear a cone of silence again, which is sooooo annoying because she bashes into your shins with it. But it is so good to have her home!!! I take her back to the vet for a check up on Monday. Meanwhile, my master card has an extra $1000 on it. But having our girl back is priceless. ;)
