This past weekend I went to Melbourne to visit my sister, Zoe, and also Sarah, who was there for work. I flew down on Friday afternoon, and came back Sunday morning. Originally I was supposed to be arriving at midday, but due to changes in my flight, and then delays, i didn't get to Zoe's place until 7.30pm. Saturday was very warm, and Zoe, Sarah and I walked all around the city, just looking in shops and enjoying the sights. We had lunch at a pub on the river side, and later ate dinner at an Italian restaurant. On Sunday morning I caught up with Sarah again before she checked out of her hotel, and then it was time for me to catch the bus back to the airport. I got home at 5.30pm and basically started cooking dinner...
Don't get me wrong, i had a really nice time. But at the same time I get this hollow, guilty feeling. I think it's especially since I'm not an equal income earner, so I feel guilty about spending money. (Although I paid for this trip out of my tax return) Not that i really spent anything on myself, just food. But a girl is entitled to a bit of fun every now and then, right? Even if I am a wife and mother.
