Tomorrow is the first day of winter, something that Simon is terrubly excited about, because then that means it's only 25 days till his birthday! Count them down, people! It certainly feels like winter now, finally, after such a warm. On Monday the kids were in shorts and t shirts, today they were rugged up like little bears. And when you live in a house the STILL DOES NOT HAVE A HEATER.... you really feel the chill. No heater? I hear you ask. Yes, that's right. Well, we bought the heater 2 years ago. Ruby was a babe in arms. We just haven't connected it yet, because first we had to put the floor down. and to do that we had to make the deck.. etc etc. But finally we have everything ready for the heater!! Except we don't have any gas bottles yet.
I went running this morning. Some mornings I meet Bianca half way, it's nice to have the company. God it was sooooooo fricking cold!! My hands were like ice by the time I got home, I should get a pair of those naff little gloves that people wear when they run. I came in and Brett was just getting into the shower and I said "Oh, just let me hop in with you for a second to defrost." (cos he has the coldest showers in the whole world, and I was so cold that anything even slightly warm would have felt scalding.) And he said "You hussy!" So I put my ice cold hand on the small of his back and he literally jumped a foot off the ground and screamed like a girl! LMAO. I told him he was lucky he wasn't facing me, or he would have screamed louder. ;)
oh i am so tired this week. Everyone is still lingeringly ill with this cold thing. Ruby has been coming into our bed at midnight every night and bossing us all around. She even says please, yet still sounds like she is giving orders. (Mummy! My bwanket! Pwease!) The other night I had her in the bed and Simon and Declan on the floor on the mattresses. Everyone had finally settled back down when Simon started talking loudly in his sleep. Ruby sat up and demanded, "Simey! Simey! You talkin' bout me?"
I do live in a mad house.
