ANNOUNCEMENT!

the deck is finished.

ok, so it's not completely finished. But we are using it everyday now, and it is so, so nice! The only thing left to do is to oil it and build the step down to the garden, but the actual deck part is all done. What a difference it makes to be able to sit out there with a cup of tea, or even breakfast. The kids have a whole new flat area to play on. Definately one of the best things we've added to the house.

Brett and his dad took the boys up to the Easter Show the other day. I dropped them off at the train station at 7.30am and they got back at 4pm. The boys had a really great time by the sounds of things, and were totally buggered by bed time. Simon got to fulfill his life long (so really not that long) fantasy of going on the Dodgem Cars. Brett said he drove like a maniac. They came home with their show bags- Simon got Batman, Dexie got Spiderman and Ruby got Fifi the Flowertot. Ruby and I spent a day at home, I took her to the Botanic Gardens in the afternoon to feed the ducks. She loved that, and spent most of the time following after the ducks and seagulls, calling seductively "Hewoo duckie! Choo wanna come a me? Come on.... come on duckie..." The ducks waddled in front of her, looking over their shoulders in a slightly concerned way and then waddled faster, like they knew she was behind them, but didn't want her to know that they knew.

OH MY GOD! Guess what? Sarah is arriving this week! And we are going to meet up in Sydney next friday! And i get to meet Shannyn too. How bizarre is that? The virtual and the actual collide.... doo dee doo dee.... It will be so cool, i can't wait.
