I stink. No I mean it, I actually smell really bad. It is hot, muggy and humid and I've just mown the front footpath. Then I did the edging and now I stink. I've never been a sweaty person, ever. But suddenly I am. When I finshed the mowing I actually had sweat dripping from my nose! How strange. My year 10 English teacher told us that 'women glow, men perspire and horses sweat', but I think she was wrong.
The grass across the creek is so long I'm scared to walk in it in case there's snakes. Brett is going to have to whipper snipper it before anything else can happen, and I'll leave that to him. The past two weeks we have had heavy rain nearly every afternoon, making everything green again. Unfortunately it means we haven't been able to nail down the decking boards, though they are all laid out on the joists. At least I can walk across to the laundry now without doing my impression of a tight rope walker.
Oh I'm tired. Maybe I'll try and sneak a little nanna-nap while the kids are watching playschool, then I'll think about starting dinner.
