Yesterday was Declan's 5th birthday! My littlest boy is all grown up... Not that he acts like it, lmao. He really is such a baby still, I'm so glad I didn't send him to school this year. We went up to Sydney last weekend to my grandparents house and my uncle and cousins came too so that was very nice. Today Dexie is having a couple of little mates over after school and we'll have another cake and I'll get some lollies and chips for them. Then tomorrow Brett is taking the boys camping with the Keiraville Scout Group. It is their annual family camp, they go up to the Mt Keira Scout Campground, which is basically on the mountain behind our house. It backs onto a little patch of rainforest and is really lovely. I declined to go with them this year, I'm sure Ruby would run away and we'd never see her again, and I can just imagine how wonderful it would be to sleep in a tent with her. So it will be a nice 'boys adventure' for the three of them. Hopefully it won't rain on them, we have been having massive torrential storms every afternoon this week. Yesterday I got soaked to the skin just putting the kids in the car. The weather forecast is supposed to be fine until Sunday afternoon.
