better weekend!

Well, a better weekend than last week. At least no one was sick! Simon ended up staying home on Friday, after vomiting in his sleep on Thursday night. Eww! I asked him why he didn't come and get me if had been sick and he said he was just too sleepy, so he lay back down in a pool of vomit and went back to sleep! Yuck. I hope this isn't a preview of his teenage years. Anyway whatever it was he had was very short lived, he was fine the next day and thrilled to have a day off school.

We just hung around the house for the weekend. The weather was bad and we had a big storm on Saturday afternoon. I was out for a walk when it hit, and I was quite afraid of getting struck by lightning as it was really crashing around. But where I was there was no shelter so I had no choice but to keep going. Saturday night Brett and I got some take away from the Japanese restaurant for dinner. We got sashimi and sushi combination and it was veeeery delicious. I think we ate it in about 10 minutes, lol, we were starving. Usually I like to eat that kind of food slowly and savour it, but once I started I couldn't slow down.

Note to self! Never play the game 'cooties' ever again. It is the most boring frigging game ever invented! I played it with the boys on Saturday and I would have rather been stabbing my eyes with a fork. The object is to build your own 'cootie' (like a caterpillar thingy) by rolling the die. When you roll a particular number you get to take a corresponding body part. Like you roll a 5 and you take it's eyes, or 3 you get the hat. But to actually be able to start the game you must roll a 1 to take the body. You can't do anything until then. So did I roll a single 1 all through the game? No! I did not. What a wonderful, exciting pastime that was.
